About us

The House of Wells, a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) registered in the United Kingdom (Reg no. 1133474) and in South Africa (074732 NPO) , exists to restore hope, dignity and release the potential of children and youth in Africa.

House of Wells is a God-inspired mission touching the hearts and lives of countless orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children in poverty-ravaged communities, through holistic enrichment for body, mind and spirit.

The vision is one dreamt and being lived out by founders Richard & Kemi Oyin-Adeniji, who in 2008 set out from the UK, on a great journey to raise up wells of hope across the African continent. The starting point was at its southernmost tip, in the townships of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. It is their belief that everywhere the House of Wells would be established in Africa, starting from Port Elizabeth, South Africa, all the way to the top of the continent in the port city of Alexandria in Egypt, old ruins would be rebuilt; former desolation of several generations raised and ruined cities repaired by the river of the Holy Spirit.

Richard and Kemi Oyin-Adeniji are British citizens who moved to Port Elizabeth in August 2008, as Christian missionaries, to pioneer this initiative of restoring hope and releasing potential amongst the under-privileged children and youth in the townships of Port Elizabeth. Richard is a qualified Lawyer and Kemi holds a post-graduate degree in Management. They have been married for 25 years and have 3 children.
